      Introduction of the Project

      Bengbu Weishiyuan Food Company Ltd.

      Located at No. 2669, Shuangdun Road, Huaishang District, Bengbu City, Anhui Province, Weishiyuan Safety Food Expo Park (Industrial Tourism) Project covers an area of 103 mu with a total investment of 404 million yuan. The whole project falls in two major areas: the traditional food industry experiencing area (with an investment of 158 million yuan) and Shijiang Village folk culture experiencing area (with an investment of 246 million yuan). Still under construction in some spots, the whole project is expected to be fully open to the public in October, 2021.

      To be built as the first Demonstration Community with Food Characteristics in Huaishang District, Bengbu City, the project integrates the Honghui Folk Art Museum, experiencing programs of traditional food processing, characteristic catering service, appreciation of Hui-style ancient dwellings, communication exchanges and research of folk culture, projects of old house homestay and intangible cultural heritage exhibition. It aims to build a comprehensive food industry tourism project with unique regional characteristics in northern Anhui Province, adding new highlights to the development of tourism industry and catering culture in Huaishang district, Bengbu City.

      Introduction of Scenic Spots
      • Visiting Center

        The set of 8 Hui-style residence houses from mid-Qing Dynasty is also the No.1 service center of in the whole scenic spot, providing services to visitors such as ticket selling, medical assistance, Smart tourism service, postal service and so on.

      • Honghui Folk Art Museum

        The exhibition area of the museum is 2000 square meters, which falls into six basic culture exhibitions of Huizhou merchant culture, folk culture, academy life, farming culture, residence culture and food culture. There are nearly 300 kinds of Hui-style exhibits represented by black bricks, stone and wood carvings, bamboo products, tins, copper and iron articles, sawali carpenters’ tools, calligraphy and paintings, and farming tools. The design of the museum highlights Hui-style architecture, which is the most representative part of Huizhou culture. Showing the essence of Huizhou culture vividly and directly, the building contains a great value for aesthetic studies and research. The museum is open to public throughout a year.

      • Factory Tour Corridor

        Factory Tour Corridor is specially set up for the traditional meat products processing tours. Tourists can watch the product processing while enjoying the scenery. Combining dynamic and static, modern and classic, the corridor makes the tourists feel as if they go through the time tunnel and impresses them with wisdom of our ancestors

      • Ancient Tree Park

        The Ancient Tree Park sits in the arms of the Factory Tour Corridor. It used to be a large Hui-style (which adheres to the principle that rainwater gathers at center of courtyard) courtyard in before its industrial renovation. There are many ancient trees and winding paths in the park, complementing the Honghui Waterside Pavilion, another exquisite scenic spot.

      • Honghui Waterside Pavilion

        Built on water, the pavilion was originally the music room in the backyard of the Lins’ house in Shangzhuang Town of Jixi Country. The front is a pavilion structure with fully open partition doors, with a single roof and double ridges. The two ends of the beam in white gourd shape on front are carved with elephant heads, symbolizing fortune and fame of the family. The building was restored in 2010 on the axis of the Ancient Tree Park. Solemn and magnificent, the building holds a great value in research and aesthetic studies.

      • Restaurant of Traditional Food Culture

        The restaurant provided raw produce, cooked foods and healthy diet, grown and produced by our own plantations and factories.

      • Feasting Hall

        As one of the largest assembly halls in China, Feasting Hall originally sat in Zhongzhou Town, Chunan County, Huizhou District in the middle of Qing Dynasty. From the middle of Qing Dynasty, assembly halls in China have been congregation places for local residents to discuss or celebrate. The buildings are well-structured and made magnificent, with the complex and delicate carvings showing the prosperity of the local area. The hall is now a center for cultural exhibition, shopping and diet.

      • Cirrus Cloud Hall

        It was originally the Zhaos’ lobby in Xitou, Huayang Town of Jixi County in mid-Qing Dynasty. As Zhaos made fortune in business, they built the lobby of his house magnificent and graceful. The eave of the lobby looks like a wave head, meaning water (wealth) entering the house continuously.

      • Museum of Crafts

        Museum of Crafts is a collection of nine ancient houses from Huizhou. Dated back to the late Qing Dynasty, the museum now displays nearly 60 kinds of old trades. The tools and folk utensils on display are from Ming Dynasty, Qing Dynasty, and the Republic of China. Cultural relics exhibitions will be held in the museum, providing a platform for cultural products exchange and providing service for culture-lovers.

      • Craftsmanship Pavilion

        Craftsmanship Pavilion is a hexagonal double-layer Pavilion. It used to be a pavilion on the Osmanthus Island of Qiandao Lake and was later rescued from the reconstruction of Osmanthus island. Because of the damaged parts, it took several skilled craftsmen several months to be restore, which is why it was named as Craftsmanship Pavilion

      • Garden of Chirps

        The is a scenic spot where more than 70 kinds of ancient trees and ornamental trees were planted across winding streams, attracting many birds and their pleasant chirps. The garden makes tourists feel as if they walk in a forest and enjoy both peace and vividness of nature.

      • Treasure Pond

        Located in the center of Tweeting Garden, Treasure Pond is built in the shape of Yuanbao (a shoe-shaped ingot that symbolizes fortune). The pond is rich in aquatic species, suitable for fishing. Tourists have fun by watching wild geese play on the water, and by feeding and fishing from a near-water platform on the bank.

      • Huizhou Old House Homestay.

        Sitting in the Garden of Chirps and beside the Treasure Pond, the homestay complex is composed of three houses from late Qing Dynasty. The interior simple and elegant, birds tweeting and cicadas singing outside, fish swimming in the water and sunshine through trees, the homestay makes tourists feel as if they are in a wonderland.
